MOROCCO DEVONIAN AGE TWO TRILOBITES ON SMALL SLAB. PSYCHOPYGE AND PHACOPS OR DROTOPS Was bought from a fossil digger on a trip to Morocco about 4 years ago. Two very nice specimens on the same small slab of sedimentary rock. Looks like it was chiseled from a layer as a concretion and split open to reveal the trilobites. The fossil digger prepared the trilobites with fine tools to cut away the matrix.
The Psychopyge is about 4 long with a very long nose or rostrum. Don't know the species but might be Psychopyge elegans. Not sure about the other one but might be either genus Phacops or genus Drotops. Both are in VG+ condition on a slab about 7" X 7" X 3/4.
