Nice large 6.3cm Damesella Paronai trilobite fossil Cambrain

  

Up for sale is a beautiful rare complete example of the Cambrian trilobite Damesella Paronai. This trilobite measures 2.5 inches on a nodule measuring 3x 4 inches. This particular bug has perfect articulation, often times the cheeks are displaced. The shell of this specimen exhibits stunning pustules covering the body of this trilobite. The tips of the plural spines have a wonderful orange coloration that stands out against the buff matrix.

This specimen is preserved in 3d and not crushed as some are. Normally these trilobites are found by Chinese farmers and destroyed by crude preparation techniques (a wire brush). This specimen has been prepared under scope with air abrasives by myself. Last photos are mid preparation and prior to starting the preparation process. The specimen is preserved on a hard nodule.

There is NO Restoration OR Reconstruction. The only additional repair is to the limestone break that was used to find this trilobite in a nodule. Again only glue as been used to stabilize the Matrix and repair the original break.
